Introduction and first post

Hello!

This Blog will document my attempts to actually finish some of the various 6mm wargaming projects I have started over the years.

I have always being interested in military history in particular the wars of the Roman Republic against Carthage and the Successor states and the Napoleonic era and this blog will generally reflect that.

6mm has always being my preferred scale due to how easy they are to paint (much easier than larger scale miniatures in my opinion) and the fact that some impression of a large mass of men in formation can given in a relatively small amount of space.

Two things have largely prevented me from actually finishing anything:

1. Attention span to a particular period only lasts a few weeks meaning its hard to find the motivation to keep painting as my mind wonders and I want to start painting another era.

2. I keep changing my mind about basing the figures for a particular ruleset and or 'look' which has led to some comical amounts of re-basing over the last couple of years!

Starting this blog is part of my strategy to overcome this as it helps me put some pressure on myself to keep updates coming regularly.

Lets see how it goes.......
